Can I be moved to the sandbox by google (been banned) because of submitting my website in 600 directories in just 1 day?
I've been told that google can consider this like a spam :S is that true? Would I have problems if I do this?

yes it is certainly a risk doing such large amount of submission in one day itself, if you can continue doing 600 submissions/day for 365 days then it is a different thing.

    Hi, Fuentesana

Firstly, I think it is unnecessary to submit your sites to 600 directories for it would not help your sites a lot for SEO purposes.
Secondly, you should not worry about this issue because many directories would need times in approving your requests. :)

thank you very much people :)
I want to submit them because of the pagerank, I think I'll submit around 50 per day, just for precaution.

Yes you might of submitted your site to 600 directories but how many of these listings have been indexed and cached by Google. If all 600 hundred listings were indexed and cached within a couple days of the submission then I would say that this could of got you banned but I highly doubt a lot of the submissions were indexed by Google.

As many mentioned before there's no problem with 600 directories in one day.
You have to remember that it take time to be accepted and for google to find your link.
If you get 600 blogrolls you will raise a few red flags but directories are fine.
Remember, to be penalised google (and others) consider who YOU link to not who links to you.
Otherwise I'd be number one everywhere by banning my competitors.

It won't affect your site in a bad way unless Google finds them all in the one day. If they are spread out over a decent time period everything should be fine and your site will benefit.

Just keep building more quality links to your domain and it should come out sooner or later and it will be ranked higher. There's nothing to really do but make more backlinks to speed up the process.

I kind of think getting hundreds upon hundreds of directory listings is kind of pointless... I feel like it's a trap that people seem to fall for. This is kind of a new way of thinking for me, since I was such a big believer in backlinks for a long time... but I feel that if your on-page seo is what it should be... just a few backlinks will be good enough to get you in top 10 for a decent niche.

Google indexes directories gradually, and the part of them passes approval. I think that you do not have occasion to anxiety.

Yes, you can get out your site from sandbox. This topic has been raised before but I can't find the url for that thread.

yep that's right, because the way you do is will be abnormal for Google. Don't try to use an automatic tool or an easy way to get attention from Google, just make a plan about submitting your site to directory. maybe you can submit your site to 10 or 20 directory a day. That would be be better, and then your site will be recognize normally by Google because this is a friendly SEO. So, I suggest you avoid that method i the future and I hope Google will not banned your site.

Google can not index all the 600 links in a single day.. Don't worry ou won't be sandboxed or banned for that.
I didn't even heard any of the sites got banned for that.
