Articles (how to avoid duplicate content)

Ive started submitting articles to ezine and they are being accepted, I will shortly be adding these articles to a few other high PR article sites, Im not going to go over the top but look for between 5 and 10 good sites. Im aware that I need to change the content somewhat or google wont rank my article due to duplicate content. My question is, how much content do I need to change, will the odd word suffice or just bolding certain words?

I like to change it way more than that. More like by 30% or so. I dont even like to get anywhere close. I prefer not to get slapped by Google. You can use software, which is not as good or you can just do the dirty work.

I agree with backlinkpro.... do the work yourself and then you do not have to worry about being penalized. It takes mere minutes rewrite an article.

Grab a program like Power Article Rewriter. Re-write each sentence 3 times. You should be getting 35%-40% uniqueness for up to 20 spins of the article.

I don't agree with this guy. Don't grab some software. Do the work yourself. It's better that way.

I'd recommend a full rewrite of each one. Make list with the key points and keywords of that article, put on some music and go to town.

Ok so lets put it like this then,

Lets say you rewrite them and other people decide to publish them on their site. NO matter how many times you rewrite them there will ALWAYS be duplicate content of each of your spun articles due to republishing of your articles.

The only places you need to worry about duped content is EzineArticles and your own site. Google could care a less. Submit the same article to all the directories you can. Just be sure EA is first.

Think about it. What is one of the purposes of writing an article? The hopes that 500 other websites pick it up and post it. As far as your own website goes, if you can change the title and the first and second paragraphs, that should do it.
