indexscript version 2.4 released

hi,

indexscript is a free directory script and version 2.4 has now been officially released - http://www.indexscript.com/download.php

thanks to jdevalk for some of the enhancements... also juggernauth for helping in the testing.

summary of the main changes:
1. spam control question when submitting urls
2. google sitemap + ability to ping google from the control panel
3. added an rss feed for latest additions
4. streamlined url submission process (thanks to all your suggestions)
5. direct url submission for admin
6. auto-generation of meta information if none specifically specified
7. redirect back to approving page after actioning pending submissions
8. fixed all reported bugs
9. made other minor enhancements

next release will focus on more spam control...

there is no demo - but you can check out http://www.indexscript.com which is a clean install of the script - no hacks/changes... also, you can check out http://www.indexscript.com/features.php

How easy is it to upgrade ?

 

looks good, i will try your script on my next directory

 

1. upload files to server
2. call upgrade.php (which only requires 1 click)
3. log in as admin and go to settings to configure your preferred spam control question (OPTIONAL)
