I have 50 pages on domain but only 22 get inserted in sitemap

    Hi,

    I was using xml sitemap generator and I ran it to generate my sitemap and it stops at 22 url's when the directory has 50.

    Anyone know why? what am I doing wrong?


    Also, is it ok to manually add the other url's to the sitemap that is generated? Any pros or cons to doing this?

    Well, XML sitemap generator is really good tool to generate sitemap but may be there any technical problem with you just try it once more.......also ther is nothing wrong manually adding the other url's to the sitemap........alos you can use - sitemapdoc another tool to generate sitemap.

    Check whether all of your individual pages are interlinked and there are no orphan pages in your site that usually don't get included in the sitemap.

    check your site may be that not be reachable, XML sitemap generator is good and can index all pages in site map,
    you should try again later after few hours, i also face same problem but later when i tried next day it worked fine.

    One issue that causes this may be built into your site. If the URLs in your links are hard-coded and switch between using www. and not using www., Google and the Sitemap Protocol sees these as two different domains.

    I think you just need to give the sitemap generator time. Or, try using other methods of getting your pages indexed.

    A good way to get more pages indexed by Google is to improve your Pagerank.

    -- make sure your sitemap is properly formated
    -- make sure your site optimization is ini good shape
    -- increase your Pagerank to have more pages in the Google index
