Where does the content of your articles come from?

I am starting to understand a bit more about article submission and their benefit of backlinks.

My question concerns the content of an article. When you write,
    - do you promote your product?
    - do you share information you reseached?
    - do you share your experience?
    - do you copy others and change their articles or make several into one? Is that allowed?
    - do you write anything as long as there are enough keywords?

    What do you do?
What is the success of each?

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience.

Generally provide useful info to the reader and then work in links to your own sites at the end. Be wary of copying others.

If the place you're submitting to allows you to promote something directly, then do that. Most places that are worth submitting to wont though.

When you can submit without any or only a cursory moderation, then you can probably get away with writing a general article about a topic and using your site as an example within the text body.

If the article site is heavily moderated, then you'll have to write an article about the topic and reference your site in the about an author section when describing who you are in relation to your articles topic.

Don't copy anything. You should write 100% original work.

What kind of article is allowed depends on the site. Some sites will allow top lists, which are easy to work your site in to. Others want a more essay style article, which is more time consuming.

Exactly. Our goal should be to contribute meaningful content to the internet, not just to recycle what's already out there.

I get exactly the same feeling! If our priority is to contribute and share we have the right motive to succeed, but if it is for our personal gain only, we loose what we strive for as shortcuts and copying will lead as where we don't intend to go! Honesty pays off big time!

    I agree with jj1.

Any article I write is with the reader in mind. My goal is to provide a resource that will be helpful. Keeping within the theme I then incorporate my keywords.

I find if you know about the subject you can write about it very easily. Also make sure you include your main keyword in the text a lot.

Yes, I do promote my products via my articles.

Yes, before write anything, I used to gather info by researching on the internet, As far as the internet is the major source for everything.

Yes, In some cases, I used to share my own experience too.

No, I never did this, but, I used to re-write my articles to spin.

Yes, I always make sure that the proper keyword density is there in my article.

Re-writing your own articles. Do you put a different emphasis on it? How do you do that?

I have only done hubs so far and plan some articles soon as I am getting more used to thinking about them. I only do things I am interested in and that are related to my website. My main topics are about music, guitars and songwriting.

I get ideas from other articles. As much as possible, I'm making it informative rather than promotional type of article.

It sounds to me like you research a topic using articles and other info sources. Is that right? - Sounds actually like a very good idea! Thanks a lot!
