Title on Homepage Problem

I submitted my site to google and when I search for it my home page comes up with untitled 1. I have a title in my html script and if you go to my site its at the very top (in the blue bar). other pages from my site that are shown on the search results page have the titles I gave them. Any ideas where I have went wrong.

I might have submitted it with that title at one point but all my pages had that until I updated the code and put specific titles in this one hasn't updated.

well probably the cache is old, if your site has a title you have nothing to worry as this should be updated.

Yes your cache is still on November 21, 2009. You need to wait until Google crawl your site again. If you change your name after that date, Google has not seen the new page yet. Start doing SEO and create a Blog make your site more crawl abl for Google. It likes a lot of information (original content.)

Agreed. Google does not have a dynamic listing. This means if content, descriptions or titles change and you have no way of notifying the search engine, via pings, SEO or fresh content, then they take awhile to recrawl your site. Go to http://www.google.com/addurl/ and resubmit your site. Within a few weeks it should be corrected.

    Try below thing:

    1. try to put meta tags for "decsription", "title", "keywords".
    2. upload sitemap to webmaster tool , so that google scan your page again
    3. try to submit sitemap to msn , yahoo too
    4. in 2 days your old cache would be replaced by the new cache.

    Chees Guys

Google must have re crawled my site as now ok. The only other thing I see wrong is when I go to webmaster tools and look at keywords they are words in my site but I'm sure I have better ones. My top word is Guest? I have a guest book but I must mention guitar, tabs, song, etc.. more than this. Does the keywords get updated when they crawl your site?
