Find an article website, post the article and try to incorporate some anchor text links if they let you. This can usually be done in the author section. Simples!

I agree with Ecommerce Development , The strategy is very simple. I think that article marketing is better than guest posting, because if your article is very informative then other might be use your article on their websites or newsletter by giving backlink to your website.

I've found it really hard to promote a site via article submitting.
The reason is quite easy: the article submission sites won't easily let your posts get passed.
So, most of the time, you might find yourself working hard and gaining nothing at all...

also its not necesary to do that only on article websites, but all kind of websites with high PR.

for articles be sure to not add more then 1-2 anchor text links so you dont sound to spammy.

I usually submit 2-3 articles just for gaining some 'trust' with the article website, and after that i start making backlinks. but of course, thats just me.

After writing a good article to high PR do follow article directories and also provide your link there so that you can get the back links. Do follow article directories are very helpful to gather back links on your site.

You can give this 10 strategies a try:

    1. Read all the guidelines for each article directory before submitting to one
    2. Always offer good information. this will drive readers to your site
    3. Use relevant keywords several times for each article
    4. Don't be over promotional when writing articles
    5. Rewrite the content on your site into a shorter version for an article to submit
    6. Write your articles to a word length of about 300 -500 words so that you can submit it to different directories.
7.Write a short summary in advance
    8. Submit your articles on a regular basis.
    9. Don't use an article spinner, or article creator
    10. Pick 5-10 of the top directories and submit your best work to them

    Hope this tips will help.

Make sure the article directory accepts in content do follow links. 2-3 at least. And make sure it got more then pagerank 5 homepage and less than 100k alexa rating. also for these kinds of quality directories you should add a few links to the articles from forums or blog posts when possible (or other sources)

Thanks for the very good collection of information - I have one doubt after reading these..

Which is better one - Article submission or Press release? After submitting my PR article in Live-PR - the PR (Press Release) was cached by Google and placed in News results for that keyword.

My question is will I get the same if I did article submission? Please suggest me the good one in your point of view..

    Thanks in advance.. :)

A press release could get you to the top of Google news but this will be temporary (a few days at most) after which your press release will drop off. So unless you get a good burst of traffic from a press release (or it is newsworthy enough to be picked up by a good journalist), you're probably better off with article directories.

    Write well optimized article
Post it to an article directory
Ping Posted Article URL, Get few backlinks for that

    Re-Write the same article
Post it to another article directory
Ping Posted Article URL, Get few backlinks for that

Do it again and again (Say, do not go more than 10 times, when exceeding 10 times, go for another FRESH article and start the cycle again....)
