If the name is really relevant to your company, then I would say sure, go for it. These new TLD's are becoming more and more common, and are less of a turn off.

The whole ".com" only mentality is slowly going away.

Yeah, it really depends on your domain name.
Like, for example, getting a domain that says
    "AboutAmerica.co.uk"
    You see :D

Definitely go for it. Particularly if it is going to be productname.biz

I also think you should go for it, .biz is a good extension.

I would rather find a good .com domain, because most people associate serious business websites with .com

I would go for a dot biz, but I look at domains individually. To me, biz seems like small business, but feels more fun, whereas a dot com says power, exclusivity, and so on and so forth. If you can go the dot com, then go for it, otherwise, I dont see any downsides to having a dot biz.

    Exactly. .com sounds like power.

    .biz sounds... eh... awkward

    imho

I would go for the .biz domain if your site is business-related. That is not a bad TLD.

    thnx fer the feedback..

but i dun think u fully understand what i mean...

the biz is not for my website.. im asking in terms of future trading..

so my question is.. is it worth buying if i want to sell it forward...

    for example!

if i can get leatherbags.biz shud i buy it.. wud i get a good return if i buy it and sell it forward...

I think a specific product name .biz may be worth something. Particularly if it's a generic or popular product... ie iphone.biz

Try to find a name that is available with .com

However if you have a single word domain available and plays well with the biz extension, just make sure you really put marketing emphasis on that for your clients to remember. By default everyone thinks of .com in most countries.

imho, unless its a really good keyword thats related to a product or biz then don't go for it.
