What is the best social bookmarking service?

I'm considering using a social bookmarking service but after doing a google search I was overwhelmed with the number of results. DOes anyone have any experience with this kind of service? If so what were the results and what service did you use?

    Thanks,
    -Paul

I would not recommend you to avail such services. It would be better if you do it manually. As Social bookmarking would not give you results unless you have a good network on those websites.

its always better on bookmarking or digging or whatever ur own stuffs. If you have legit and good traffic, u will get bookmarks automatically. Its a good idea to keep bookmarking even if ur online 1 doing that, sometimes traffic is reffered even for months old bookmark that u have done.

It's better to do it yourself manually and slowly... Bookmarking on a few sites everyday will suffice.

Onlywire is free. you can copy and paste the code onto your blog/website.

ce sure you sign up for the social bookmarking sites you want to submit to first on their list. you'll need username and password for each.

i got decent results and people started commenting on my blog.

There is no point in submitting to social bookmarking site unless you fall under two categories:
    1) You have a massive network of friends and followers on that social bookmarking site. So if the service does claim to be a well-respected user on that site, maybe use them.

or 2) Your content is so unique, current and buzzworthy that you actually have success on those social bookmarking sites - This is fairly unlikely.

social bookmarking site are very good to generate the traffic also they are like free backlinks too. So why not to use them. Also if your article is really good then for sure you can get a good traffic.

I use digg and delicious, but it's just for keeping track of my bookmarks online because I use multiple computers and need a centralized location for all my bookmarks. That's all I use them for I haven't tried to do any marketing using these services so I couldn't help you on that note.

Delicious and digg are really good in my opinion. especially Digg, coz the links get cached pretty fast with Digg

Digg is more of a social news site than social bookmarking, the classic social bookmarking site is Delicious.
