    I nice way to advertise a tech blog is to release a product. Then submit it to software sites.

    Agreed. I actually started through that list. It comes up pretty high in the search engines. I started posting the ones that are legitimate here: List of sites where you can submit your RSS feed.. Granted, it's a short list, but as I walk through and find more, I'll add it. I started splitting it out, by free and paid. Best.
