I recently submitted my pokemon forum to DMOZ, it's been a week and it still haven't been approved. How long does it usually take?

DMOZ says a couple weeks or longer. They do not accept all sites so there is a chance that it will not be approved at all. I've seen it take a month or so too. Different categories can take different lengths of time too. Some of the editors take longer than others. Good luck!

How many members does your forum have? How many posts/day does the forum get? Unless you have a lot of both, there is a good chance it will be rejected.

If you read the stickie at the top it will tell you that we do not set out to be a listing service, you have suggested a site, thank you, but it is only a suggestion. When an editor decides to work on that section it will probably get reviewed but that could be from a few days to a few years. We do not advise the person who suggested the site if it has been used or not at the review. You have now done everything you can to promote your site at DMOZ and no further information will be given about that particular site. If you want to check if it has been listed then put your site, minus www, into the search box at DMOZ and press the button.

Unique content is how we see quality sites. Age, unless its a forum, directory or the like, does not count neither does PR or if the site has all the latest gizmo's, how it is constructed cuts no ice, unique content rich sites are what we look for.

DMOZ sucks, it takes long time to review a listing. submit and forget is the best policy for DMOZ :p

Here let me break it to ya... gently :D

It usually takes "months" to be reviewed and listed, providing your site is worthy of being listed in the first place ;)

Submit & forget... then submit to other directories and other methods of building links

    thx

If they are the ones in your signature, assume that they probably got rejected.

It will take take depending upon the categories, as different categories have their own time of giving approvals.. But it will come since you have already submitted.

Totally depend on the Category Editors..I say...

DMOZ usually takes months to approve a site, so you need to wait.

Keep an eye on your site's referrer stats. If a DMOZ editor visited your site to review it, the dmoz.org URL will appear in your visitor stats report.
