    I got Suntuu who is a member here to create 100 back links for my site it took him about a week and I have to say I'm very pleased with the results.
    He sent me a report when he was finished detailing where all the links are. I'd certainly recommend his service as one way of getting some back links started.

    I used to comment on Reuters blog before they require you to register. Reuters is a PR8 website. However, it takes time to understand the editorial post and make meaningful comment.
    Now I rely on blog comments and hubpages. Hubpages is still one of the best, since there are many articles of different niches. Try to comment only on those with hub score of 75 and above, since these are dofollow.

    Submitting to social bookmarking sites used to be a very effective way. And it is quite easy.
    However, as some bookmarking sites are turning no-follow ones now...this way doen't work well for link building as it used to be.

    Some great info, thanks. I have actually gotten over 100 backlinks just from a few blog comment posts. Don't know how long they will last though.

    How about yahoo answers for link building?

    You can buy a backlink in a WordPress theme, too. Isn't so expensive (I saw some offers around $100) if the theme gets tons of downloads and uses.
