    Hello,

I was thinking of starting a site with a static page and a blog integrated. there is a theme I liked which is very simple. i want to give the same look to my static pages too. So how do I do that? Is there any software's that allow conversion to HTML from wordpress theme?

Hey. I think you must download this WP Super Cache Plugin. it will convert all pages to HTMl automatically.
    Download from this url below
    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-super-cache.0.9.8.zip

    From their website,

I have the template with me which is a free one. i just want to convert it into a normal HTML site (Just the looks). then i will integrate the blog with it. I dont want people to feel they went to a new site, when they hover over to my blog from my html main page

I think it would be pretty easy to use WP Super Cache then view the source and copy the HTML. Just make sure you save all the images that the theme uses and change the filepaths in the HTML code if necessary.

No. I want the wordpress theme to be converted into a simple html file so that I can run it as a simple HTML site. Not rewrite. How do you see a normal HTML site? Like that. Only thing I want to copy the looks of the wordpress theme. Thats it. I am looking for a solution that will run without wordpress installed. As a plain HTML site.

Oh. Now i understand. You want to convert a wordpress template into a new site which does not require wordpress platform. is it? Its easy man, as jtaylo49 said, use view source and make the template, You must make sure the images are in the right place. you must also make a new stylesheet. If you give me your website url, i will do it for you.

Create a page in worpress and make it static by going to Settings>Reading. This way you can have a static page served first from where visitor can go to actual blog. You need to create a category called "blog" and then create subcategories with actual categories you need. When you post into this subcategories, they will look like http://domain.com/blog/cat1/post.html. You can achieve the look of the above site with this functionality.

This is a three year old thread. Amitash may no longer read the forum. Install WP Super Cache (url]http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/[/url]), create a WP page with the content you want, create a static page of that WP page and use it to point to your first WP page (or wherever you like).
