Recently I received a paypal email to my id which was as follows Dear PP member, You have 1 new security message from Security Centre Please click on the link below and update your account: Unknowingly you might click the above link and share your information beware guys
It's always best to avoid posting the actual link here. Someone ignorant enough could goto that page and get duped easily. You may post the email - but always make it a point to delete the link in the email.
When ever you get any such email from your bank or from PayPal asking for any info by clicking on the link, never go to site by clicking on the link given in the mail. Rather open a web site of your bank or PayPal directly and then check them out whats going out with them. Regards
Paypal always use 'Dear Your Name,' instead of 'Dear PP member,'. Never click any link provide in such type of emails and always make a habit to login to your account by opening their site in new browser window yourself (through not clicking any link). DON.
Yes. I got lots of email for PayPal and same for Facebook. I always check the destination URL first and then only click on them.
I always become very cautious when I receive an email from my bank or paypal asking me to do a security check, simply because they have never officially asked for the same till now. Careful reading of the link is a sure give away in such instances. The root domain is never that of a genuine one e.g in the given case, it belongs to some 'qwkrgg'. Regards, RightMan
I always enter the URL manually by typing into the address bar, whenever I need to go to sites where my precious information are shared.. Has become a practice after I lost one of my email ID to a phisher.. It had some 300 email forwards in it. No imp info..
We never click the link in the paypal or other payment gateway email. we rather key in the url ourselves into address bar. it takes more time (5-10 seconds more), but it can help you save more than that money.
