Hi I have already made one question here, but no one give me perfect answer. I only discuss my problem here as DP is my favorite forum site. I want to inform you that my blog is on work at home and I am optimizing for keyword like work at home jobs, legitimate work at home, work at home opportunities etc. I am trying to beat scam sites that come on google for keyword "work at home". I am using yahoo site explorer for track the backlink. Here I want to show you some data. Please see the backlink of one scam site that is netjobs4all.com at yahoo site explorer https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.netjobs4all.com&fr=sfp&bwm=i I think you will see 176 inlinks, which is very low. Now see my blog backlink https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http://internetjobscams.blogspot.com&fr=sfp&bwm=i I think that you will see 14,749 backlink. I checked most of sites backlink that top on google for that keyword but their backlink are too low. Now please clear it me why they are top. I am not saying why I can not beat them, might be some negative point for my optimization. But there are lots of blog that optimizing for that keyword and their backlink also high. So why no any blog can beat them? Please please clear it. I will lot thankful to you if you can clear my confusion.
it is your optimization, i have been looking at your site and the one thing that sticks out, is the amount of text and links that google would have to go through before it finds your first post. I would suggest changing the theme of the blog if possible and see if you can include some static text at the top that is also relevant to your homepage, google and see its about working at home but if they cannot read the text as almost their first point of call then theres barely any point in having good articles
So that is my blog minus point, that I use picture instead of putting text. Well please I want the answer of the other question, how the other site come to the first?
google.com search 'work at home' netjobs4all.com not ranks in top 50. ( checked 2 times : from Hungarian IP and USA IP ) Make sure you disabled cookies from Google, otherwise Google's new (not so new) interest based system will trick you. Along with new search system, if you visit a site frequently, the site will rank higher and higher (only in your search - your computer).
Ok I have cleared by browser history and now at google.co.in some sites I get on top are workathomearticles.net, ourdollars.com, workathomeindia.com, bpojobsathome.com, thehomeworker.org, earnparttimejobs.com Now see the backlink of bpojobsathome.org backlink at yahoo site explorer https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.thehomeworker.org&fr=sfp&bwm=i The backlink is something on hundred And see the backlink of site https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.earnparttimejobs.com&fr=sfp&bwm=i The backlink is 1494 So now please clear it me.
IMO, the other sites rank top than yours, maybe for they get the high qulity backlinks which has high pr or huge traffic, or good reputation. Google rank for a site not just by the backlink quantity but the quality is more imporant, to check whether they get high quality backlinks, maybe this helful!
Yes I checked that they are getting link from classified sites. They just promote their website by ad posting.
For your kind information - In Yahoo Site Explorer - you have to choose the inlinks-->'except from this domain --> 'entire site' => to get the backlinks. I have checked backlinks of the website - www.netjobs4all.com - it has 1225 backlinks --> https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.netjobs4all.com&bwm=i&bwmo=d&bwmf=s

From Wikipedia: Keyword stuffing had been used in the past to obtain maximum search engine ranking and visibility for particular phrases. This method is completely outdated and adds no value to rankings today. In particular, Google no longer gives good rankings to pages employing this technique. You are very brave trying to rank for 'work at home' by the way. I would not even try it. But if i would, first would try ranking for 'work at home business' , 'work at home moms', 'legit work at home'....3-5 more KWs all on separate websites, and then i would link from all the sites to the main "work from home" site. But it is just me.
Hi it is not only the backlinks that counts for seo ranking purpose. May be your blog is new and those other sites have been around for quite some time. The age of the domain also matters. Have you thought about that angle?
Ok ok, I understand that I have made mistake, but I want to know why other scam sites are on top, after all they have very low backlink....., I do not see any high quality backlink to their sites.
Why do you call the other sites scam sites? Yours has all of the same type of information and is riddled with ads. I can tell you right now that the content on your site is not up to par with some of the top ranked work from home sites. That will affect your rankings as well as the fact that most, if not all of your links, are not coming from the greatest of sources, also, the backlinks that I can see are coming from sites that are by no means related to your site. Another thing that you have working against you is that your blog doesn't have a unique domain. There's a lot of debate about the topic, but I can guarantee you that if you had a domain with some good history and the same content, you would be way better off. Work from Home is going to be something that you're going to have trouble ranking for. I can promise you that it is not going to be easy, and a few thousand random backlinks are not going to help you as much as you think. You have your work cut out for you.. good luck
