Someone stolen my Logo. What to do?

    I made a logo for someone on another forums and sent him a sample with my watermark, but he has removed it somehow and put it up on his site and hasn't paid me.

    What shall i do?
    Can I complain to the DMCA and if so how exactly?
    This is his site. http://bullhosters.0lx.net/

    See he has messed up the logo bigtime by in the watermark removal process.
    :(

    Ask your lawyer to send a notice to him. If you can't do that then just chill out.

    Shouldn't you remove that tinypic link in your first post?
    It's not watermarked. If he looks at his logs, sees hits from this thread, he can grab the tinypic version to replace the shitty edited one he's using now.

    I'd be interested to see how you watermarked the image that he edited.

    Just learn a $5 lesson (use bigger uglier watermarks!), and move on.

    ... and assuming that logo was all original work, I personally think it's worth way more than $5. :)

    I doubt much can be done for this since it is only $5.00.

    One thing for you though is that because he did a crappy job removing the watermark the logo looks like crap.

    Doubt my answer helps, but just trying to make you feel better.

    To be honest, look at the website he used it from templatemonstor and he has left the authors link still up, which basically means he doesnt know how to build a website or have someone that can do it for him.

    Also look at his hosting packages, his a blatent reseller and will out of "business" in a few months max!

    Doesnt get your $5 but might make you feel better

    Scurvy: I have been doing this on a fulltime basis for over 30+ years....it is blatant THEFT and outright copyright theft. You can use your previous email communications between yourself and this forum owner who stole your design as proof. People don't realize that email communications between negotiating parties can be legal binding documents and considered as "binding agreements" or contractually agrred to "proof". Print those out, and save them....should include all his agreeing to the deigns, telling you what to change and so forth, including the price he agreed to pay you.
    Truth-be-told, the price you charged is ridiculously low and a tip off to any hack out there that you're "available" for getting screwed. I've done logos many times and have samples here. Pay attention to the fee chart at the bottom and reconsider what you're doing.
    As previously mentioned, you have a legal leg to stand on if you want to take it to the next level. My guy is http://www.cybertriallawyer.com - Don't sell yourself short next time. You're only showing others how vulnerable you are, although you have those previous emails as your "contractual proof"....USE 'EM!
