    Hi,

I'm outside USA and I'm doing ppc - direct linking (no landing page) in the US market. Do I have to read the new FTC rules and make some changes to my ads?

Uhmm, I'm selling clickbank products, if this is the question.

English is not my first language, can someone explain me what kind of change I have to do with my ads, what should I look?

If you are staying in US, then you need to follow FTC guidelines.

Khan I live in Europe too. If you are selling to US customers then you need to comply.

So what if you don't comply and the FTC come after you (hypothetical) and find out you are not in US?

They will go after your CB a/c and get it banned. They will go after your host. They will maybe even go after your domain name.

the FTC wuld be the least of your worries, think QS on Adwords.

google is tightening the grip on CB / Aff ads now and you will be losing money hand over fist if you are not careful.

and if you are doing direct linking then technically you do not have to worry as the site / publisher has to ensure FTC compliance.

That is what I was thinking about ever since i heard about the new FTC rules.

What if someone sells via click2sell.eu or directly via paypal? Can they get the paypal account banned too? I think paypal isn't US based but I'm not sure.

Right. I'm doing PPC on YSM/Bing, anyway I have to think Quality Score. So what does is means? What I have to look, what kind of change I have to do to my ads?

This is what I was thinking from the beginning. right?

I believe that this information is useful to all advertisers based outside the United States who are doing PPC/direct linking - no landing page/no blog - on Adwords, Yahoo and Bing and selling to US customers.
How to comply the FTC rules?
