Best Way To Get Backlinks...

There are countless ways to get links to your sites, and we all know how all important that is for Google rankings. What are your single most effective way of getting links to your websites?

I will start off by telling mine.

Submitting to many directories, sites etc. works, but I look for the home page of high ranking blogs and comment with my links in them. If the comment gets accepted I get more than 20 links per comment sometimes. For my new website, FreeTrafficVolcano, I commented on 2-3 blogs and got 70 links to my website when I checked it just 2 days after I created the website. I think that is not too bad.

Any other effective and time savings ways to get quick and effective links?

Unique, original and quality posts and articles on your blog can easily get you some very quality backlinks from other sites. Webmasters and Bloggers likes to search the internet too and point on other sites from their own posts.

 

I must say I do like blog comments on relevant sites, they seem to work for me

 

There is also viral ways. If done right, viral way could get you tons of natural one-way links in short time.

 

Organic traffic is good.

 

Just have a unique site and you will get people linking to your site naturally.

Social media outlets are another great way to get backlinks. The trick is to make the link compelling enough for someone else to link to it. From there, if you're lucky there may be some people with websites or blogs, and they may post the link on their site.

 

Social Social Social .... write some compelling content, dish the word and watch your organic links grow - Don't bother trying to dupe Google by paying for links, it's boring.

Social media sites, blog commenting are all good.

The absolute best links you can get though are from sites that are already ranking well for your target words. That's where you need to get creative. White papers from industry associations, even link trading, offering a free guest blog post that's actually good. Just try to think of whatever you can.

Maybe directory submission. Because blog comments could be removed, or when the blog is OUT. Forum posting is the same... No idea. Everything is risky

 

Everything is inherantly risky, so spread out your efforts and don't rely on any 1 factor.

The bottom line is that the more unique content you create the better off you'll be. After creating the content then learn to use social bookmarking etc

 

Blog comments are a step above worthless. If you want a link from a blog, get it in the article itself.

Blog commenting can only do good, if the blog is a do-follow, which doesn't happen most of the times because by default the comments in wordpress are no-follow. No idea about blogspots though. To answer you question, getting backlinks fast and in good numbers, you should be doing something very good(amazing viral content) or something very shady(blackhat techniques).
