Its a sad truth, but most CH on DP like flashy logos that are not done right. They like gradients, reflections, shadows (all big NO's in logo design) but hey.. they are the ones that are going to be using them and they are the ones paying us... what can you do...

This goes for 90% of contest holders in my opinion. Sometimes you just gotta do the bad stuff to please them. (that's why contests are horrible for designers) Its best to be your own freelance designer and give clients what YOU make for them, not what pretty colors and reflection they like. Part of making a perfect logo is educating the client on the reason behind your logo element choice... but I could go on and on about this... won't make any difference here.

You're designs aren't too great either, Back off.
Some people like Bevel, Some don't.
Some people like 3D, Some don't.

    It's a matter of taste.

Let me settle this ongoing conversation, I know what I am looking for in a design I have spent around 8 years working in and around design and I know
What looks good and what does not. Fancy logos with all the reflections, gradients etc. may look great on a website but for a company logo, where
you will be including them in on letterheads, business cards, invoices etc they dont work well. A simple and effective logo works the greatest.

Now on to the feedback, I had just finished typing feedback for almost every concept and guess what, IE decided to crash on me. This is the second
time round. I will comment on every design. I would also appeciate it if people submitted a maximum of 3 entries.

Sabosushimi: Nice design, I like the way you have used the brush effect on the word 'star'. I am not sure the star itself ties in well enough with
    the rest of the logo.
ing_pacz: Too basic for this contest sorry, not up to the standard of quality I have seen from other entries.
    Creative_illusion: As above.
    jtoms: As above.
Dakouten: I like this concept a lot more. This is a case of something that is simple yet effective. Perhaps try some colour variations.
fujimoto: As mentions previously, not a fan of the 'Australian Patriot' theme sorry.
technoguy: I do not want 'Designs' incorporated into the logo. Perhaps also try some colour variations.
    jtoms: Far to basic.
fujimoto: Not a fan of this im sorry. I dont like the fact I am loosing half the 'L' to the side and I dont like the square look.
divineworld: No entries designed in MS Paint sorry.
x2k: Why the crosshair? SOrry not a fan of this at all.
herenow: SOrry This is too basic.
    nidhi1100@gmail.com: As above.
crowquill: Great design as always. I dont want 'designing services' incorporated into the design also the 'crown?' on top of the star is not working for me im afraid, maybe try a few variations of that?
    hemp: far to basic.
JacoArmy: I like this, though I dont like the square look, I would prefer the logo to be designed in a single line.
jtoms: Nice 3D, Iwould prefer the logo in a single line though.
jtoms: Not a fan of this sorry.
nidhi1100@gmail.com: This second try is still too basic.
jaghanivasan: Nice design, though it looks a little too 'futuristic' for my liking.
armanno: I really like this clever design, my only concern is that it will not turn out right when printed. If you could work on that, that would be great.
pixeled: Nice design, just doesnt suit my taste sorry.
biruhato: Nice looking design, but too simple im sorry.
Semy20logo: Interesting design, I really like it though it looks more like a logo for a carnival rather than a design company to me sorry.
onlyfights: Sorry not to my liking.
renderwork: Great design as always. I really like this concept. Though I am not sold on any of the colour variations, perhaps try a few more? Good job.
scorpionagency: AGain, another nice design here though perhaps try a few more colour variations. I am not a fan of the red/blue.
pixeled: SImple, effective. WOuld print well. Perhaps try to use some colour?
jtoms: This wouldnt print well im afraid.
pixeled: I prefered the last entry.
jtoms: This looks worse than before. This is also your 6th entry. Please narrow it down to 2 or 3.
    x2k: Please read previous feedback.

Ok so there it is, Im sorry it is not as detailed and some of it might come across as harsh but Im not a believer in sugar-coating things.
If I dont like a design I will tell you. I had relatively detailed feedback for about 3/4 of the entries before IE crashed. If you have any questions
please feel free to ask. I think I will leave this contest open for another 24 hours. I have seen some nice entries.

    Favourites so far:
    renderworks
    Crowquill
    armanno

These are the ones that really stand out further from the rest in my eyes.

Lets see some more entries guys and girls!
