    Thanks for nice tips.

Many people ask "How much should anyone worry about their page rank if it does not equal higher search engine rankings for their keywords?"

Everyone think it's important...but I actually think the most important thing about it is that it might determine your site's worth if you decide you want to sell it. Page rank is determined by age of name and quality links into your site. Google has these "night crawlers" that go and judge sites every night to see who's active and who is not.

And as for what number you are...the most important part about that is where you sit with your competitors. If your main competition is a 2, then you should be a 3 or 4 (there is some belief that 2 numbers ahead is best).
The thing to strive for, of course, is being in Google's Golden Triangle at the top of the page....if you are a 2, and at the top, and your competitors are a N/A, then you are fine.

Blog commenting, if done properly and to the topic in the corresponding blog, can help in the rankings and indexing. Its not about getting penalized. But you will get penalized if you put spammy comments in the blogs.

Both OnPage SEO and OffPage SEO are important factor for you to improve your website PageRank. As for me On-Page SEO is a prerequisite of OffPage SEO.

very good article. Every beginner should take this sort of information on board. Posting articles on ezine for backlinks, while time consuming, is a method that has bought us great success. It is worth it.

I believe the first in optimization steps is the content, title and description, then the backlinks, then the page construction layout. For a new domain, it may happen that you reach pole position in Google searches in high percentage for some of your keywords, providing that your competition's pages content is not very informative for the user, while your content is.

Regarding backlinks, they should come from sites with a thematic related to yours, such that the change of information is close and useful for the user. Just think about you visiting a site about sausages, which happens to rank high in search engines. If you are there, probably you're not interested about financial advisers, so linking sausages with finance...doesn't make much sense.

    Best regards!

If you find a forum that is dofollow, you can do a search on google of the version and find a massive amount of similar forums. Look for something like "Powered by ...." This can be done for blogs, profiles, anything but it takes time.

For sure, you can be banned now or then by Google if buying links from others.

I do think unique articles about your niche approximately 500 characters long do really work when used with great keywords.
