Shawn: Login and Ads have disappeared

    Shawn,

Something mighty strange is going on. At first I thought it was just my computer from the other office. I go to www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network to login to our accounts and I don't see a login at all?

From my laptop at once of our offices, I don't see any of my links I have on the website leading to the above URL with our affiliate code on it.

Not to mention that our ad_network_ads.txt file had webpage code from our ISP in it. I know that sounds strange however I was noticing problems with the ads displaying so I checked the source after reading a post by someone else that was having problems with comments just to find the source of our ad_network_ads.txt was the source code of one of our ISP's webpages.... You can see it here:
    www. worldfamousgiftbaskets.net/shopping/ad_network_ads.txt (without the space)
    WTF!

    Anyway,

We are having major issues happening with this. The main question is:
Is there some reason that we cannot see a login to sign in at the above URL? Did it get moved?

    Thanks for any help.

We are temporarily removing the ads to find out what is going on.

    It is not spyware,

This is from 3 different computers at two different offices. We cannot see the login information.

Did our IPs get banned shawn? Please tell me that is not the case.

This sounds like the same thing I've experienced, as in this thread I am pleased it's not just me :)

It is not spyware however the one thing that they do have in common is Nortons Internet Security 2004.

    Thank you,

If I shut that off I can now see our links....

Shawn, this is strange. If I enable Nortons Internet Security 2004 I cannot see the following link:
    www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network

I wonder if that is because it is picking up the word ad because I can see www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion

You may want to rename that page... lol

It is odd, this does sound so similar to the screen shot I was sent, no log in box and a few missing mid sentence links

Tell them to shutdown the ad blocking in Nortons Internet Security. OR add www.digitalpoint.com to the list and create a new rule for it.

    We just added it too....

1 issue solved: (1 created for shawn however... sorry shawn, didn't mean to rain on the parade :()
Now I have to figure out why my ISP is writing to our ad_network_ads.txt file

Anyone know how to stop a link from being a link. I try to use the remove link option in the message box here and then when I submit it is still a link anyway. I don't want Google picking that up and putting it in cache and then for some reason the ad network telling us that we are not displaying ads on that page.... Although it shouldn't come up that way... because it is the ad file itself... lol

Thanks ProductivePC I will do that, they did find a way around the problem by using a Cafe PC.

Hope Shawn sees this and can remedy it, as I do (hopefully) send a few people via the referal link that I will never know if they have a problem.

Okay, 2nd problem solved. The ISP was writing to our ad file with their header and it was screwing up the ads and our website. IT was taking some pages 70 seconds or more to load.

They have a couple great techs but overall I am not happy with the amount of trouble we have had to go through in order to keep the website up and running. In the last year the longest stretch that we have went without a problem was 3 months. Before that was 1 week.
