Which is better for creating affiliate sites and why? I use blogger because I find it easier to navigate.

Wordpress is better. It gives you more control and it is flexible enough with lots of plugins and themes.

Yes, Blogger is way easier to Navigate. I have tried to start learning Wordpress and I am embarrassed to say that I don't know where to begin.

Here is what I think though. I think that if someone is just starting out, Blogger is the way to go. When you first start out in Affiliate Marketing, there is just SO much you have to learn. If you are not good at web design or making a site, Blogger is perfect because you can just focus all of your energy on the marketing aspect.

Some people have a problem with blogger b/c it is not as professional looking. I use already made templates to jazz it up a bit. I do a search for free blogger templates and I can usually get some really nice blogs that look just as professional as WP.

The one thing I don't like is that you don't really own the blog and Blogger can shut you down at any time.

What I do is this- I ALWAYS register a domain. I usually get a .info from godaddy. This way, if for some reason I get my blog shut down, I still own the domain. I can take my content and put it on another blogger blog. Another thing I ALWAYS do is save my content. Every bit of work I put into this is precious to me. I invested in a flash drive and save the html codes for the layout, any banners and all content.

I don't plan on switching to WP anytime soon...even though I should. I have nothing against WP other than I just can't seem to figure it out!:)

    Nice post Jamie M above...

I don't care for plugins, themes and all that crap. Blogger is perfect at doing the job and has always been great for me. I setup three new blogs yesterday and it didn't take long to set them all up at all and SEO them. For rankings, you only have to see what great things have been done of the platform from the likes of Griz in the MMO niche. If you know what you're doing it's easy enough to make a Blogger/Blogspot blog look completely unrecognisable (if need be) - just make sure you move from Blogspot to a new domain and get all your keywords in that domain name (.info is a good way to go)! Remember that no other blogging platform has ever hit the Alexa top 10 other than Blogger. There is a reason for that and it's no surprise that Google bought them (PyraLabs) out pretty sharpish.:D

If you want to start a blog easily but have limited web experience, your best option is Blogger, but after you already know a bit of html, I recommend you to try Wordpress or even buy your own domain and webhost space.

Of course WordPress. And please DON'T start with Blogger, get intouch with WP from the beginning. If you have questions about good free Themes, Hosting and so on, you can contact me, but do not do the fault begginning with Blogger.
I love Wordpress and I do any blog I got with WordPress to generate my income. It is more easy, and Google loves Wordpress. It's more than SEO friendly with good Plugins as All in One Seo.

    1) Blogger is owned by Google, the biggest name on the web.
    2) Blogger is the only blogging platform that makes the Alexa top 10.
    3) I have lost count of the number of Blogger blogs dominating competitive niches. Hence, great for SEO.
    4) Blogger provides free and reliable hosting on their server and you are free to use Adsense/affiliate links. (I would always move to new domain tho)!

I always notice that Wordpress guys never provide such facts/points. Just silly little remarks putting down the great platform.

The OP was asking for an opinion. Not looking to be sold a hosting package.

If I had to choose between those two, it would be wordpress but I would rather have self hosted blogs so you have complete control.
