You can; a) sell your articles b) write articles about a product act as an affiliate on sites such as Ezine c) create a blog and use the traffic however you like Articles are in essence content, which is required on every website. With billions of websites out there, there are plenty of people looking for content.

If your articles are good, keep your price fair and do not 'whore' yourself just to get work. From a buyers point of view, when I was looking for an article writer I was hit with hundreds of applicants but only a very small handful had good english. I didn't use the cheapest, I used the member offering the best value.

Before you jump into bed with dozens of Freelance sites, get back to basics. Do you have plenty of examples of your work online? Do you have a website or similar where you can direct clients? Remember you are asking poeple to part with there hard earned cash and there is alot of competition out there. I'm not trying to put you off, what I am saying is make your self stand out from the rest.

There are a few ways to earn money by writing articles. The first way is to get paid directly for the articles by writing them for affiliate marketers who just don't have the time or don't want to spend the time doing it themselves. The second way is to write for sites like Ehow and Associated Content. A couple of years ago I wrote for Associated Content. I think I made as high as $7.00 on an article and as little as $3.00. I think some rules have changed, but I think they still pay you. On Ehow, they pay you a share of Adsense revenue for each article. If you make $10.00 in one month, they pay you via Paypal. The third way is to make money indirectly from writing articles. This method is used solely to get traffic to your site/blog in which you are promoting your own products or products through an affiliate program. their are various ways, but i think selling your article here is the best. You can also promote an affiliate product, but their is risk in that.

You could go to forums like this where internet marketers hang out and offer to write articles that they can then use to post on their own websites. Often that will involve them giving a list of keywords or short phrases and you would then write up an article for each one of them. And there are a LOT of people wanting to buy such articles.
