Just opened my Website need marketing advice please

Hi, I have just started my own e-commerce site www.midnightdelights.co.uk
selling lingerie, fancy dress and adult items, need some advice on the best way to market my site or any cheap advertising deals on other sites. Any other help or advise would also be appreciated

 

You should create a blog and write reviews about your products. promote your blog to social networkings. Offer freebies to attract customers.

 

First thing I would recommend is to fix the copy on your homepage. There's hardly anything there.

As for promoting, put in an affiliate program with a major adult network like ccBill, you can probably get a bunch of porn affiliates to pickup your site and promote it for you.

 

Start doing the free link building methods MANUALLY. It will help to get you indexed and to build authority.

there really are so many ways that you can market this site. i would say that you should go ahead and create blogs and write product reviews about the products and redirect visitors back to your site to buy. you should also join some groups that are in your niche. the last thing you should do, which you always should do in any marketing strategy, is write articles on the subjects at hand and post them to relevant directories.

Three thoughts came to me while viewing it:

1. I kind of wanted to see something bold up top in the white space. Either a sexy lady to give the site some personality. Or a big, black sub-headline like a marketing tagline such as "Full satisfaction and Discreet Fun."

2. Feels like you should have actual short reviews written for each product. Some of your descriptions are so short, you don't have enough words to sell me.

3. Might be smart to add an email sign-up to get a series of free erotica stories (PDFs) you send out. I've written these for someone else with a shop similar to yours, so let me know if you're interested.

 

Write articles and submit to high ranked articles directories. You might also want to consider submitting a press release on one or two of the free press release sites. Blog commenting on related blogs, social marketing, Twitter - there are really endless methods you can use to promote your site. Most of them are free! Good luck

 

That rarely works and wouldn't recommend offline marketing for such a store. If I were you I would right a nice press release on prlog.org or a press release site with a high PR. Also, I would bribe a couple bloggers to blog about your site. Finally I would go for some paid banner ads on pornography websites or other lingerie websites. Google ad words may also be a good place to hit. Good luck!

 

I would recommend ppc and email marketing. If you can find someone with a list that has a similar business then try doing a JV with them.

 

Get some links by adding to some high end Adult video sites

 

There's a nice website you got there. I suggest you also start with social networking promotions: hi5, facebook, myspace, twitter.

 

social networking and long tail ppc can do wonders

 

You need to write blog and build list with it.... if you are willing to build strong 'life time' relationship with your customer.

 

There are so many options and so much to know if you want to do it yourself. If you have the budget, I'd recommend getting an Internet Consultant to guide you through. You may end up throwing away money and time by trying to do it yourself if that isn't your thing.
