I have gone back and worked all of my systems and pages to accept both. I love AlertPay.
But, like everyone mentions, PayPal is still the most prevalent - so not accepting PayPal really limits your income.

Paypal is a much bigger company or corporation with decent support and fairly prompt. Alertpay is much smaller compared to paypal. Their support can be very slow. Paypal has many more features and widely accepted, but I get zapped with receiving fees all the time. With Alertpay I have the basic starter account and I can receive up to an amount I forget how much but with no fees. There are a few countries that Paypal does not provide service, but Alertpay will. So it comes in handy for the folks that happen to fall into that category. Paypal doesn't like gambling I hear, so they wont do some of those sites, and as far as I know Alertpay will allow it in most cases.

"Competition is definitely a good thing. The biggest isn't always the best. I have used both and have found AlertPay to be easy and reliable. The fees are comparable to PayPal's and even lower in some instances."

alertpay is very good payment processor but since everyone uses paypal more than alertpay the majority of the consumers all around the world choose paypal.

I'm using Paypal account rather than Alertpay though I also have an account in Alertpay. I think that most of the online users are using Paypal, because it's easy to verify and on online jobs, Paypal account is a requirement or an option. Just my opinion.

I'd prefer paypal and as others said, its more widely used. But, sometimes some people only pay us through alertpay. So, just make yourself flexible, have a few of them at once won't really eat you up.

Alert Pay is 100% No Pay.

They talk a good one, but they're the worst.

I have been dealing with them for 4-6 months and it is one issue after the next with them. A real pain in the brain.

If you have funds in your account you cant withdraw more than $100. They will shut you down after that.

    I had 3 withdrawals reversed in the last week. $500, $500, $1500.

This is long after there 7 day hold on funds.

Contacting them by phone is, 1 hour on hold and $15.00 in cell phone minutes. You have to call to Canada. No, 1-800 Number. It is all on your Dime and Time.

Then you have to hang up. No one ever answers.

Alert Pay, Email support is a 2-3 day turn around.

You can't refund a customer within their interface. You have to get permission from Alert Pay, then wait 6 days or more.

They are a real disaster waiting to happen to, you !

PayPal will treat you much better (can't believe I said that).

I have close to $3000 in my account now. Can't get it out.

My last orders I refused to provide to customers and contacted the customers and explained to them that I requested Alert Pay, to refund there payments.

Alert Pay, is outside of the U.S.A. and do not have to adhere to certain laws.

Stay Away and Off, the Alert Pay, No Pay, No Way Shuffle !

They will not be in business too long !

Alert Pay, is a well calculated Scam, payment processor !

Don't waste your time with them.

Alert pay sucks! I had 2 Reversed from the same guy within days, why he buy from me again if he did not get his chips. And now they want Verification. I scan driver license and a utility bill. They would not accept the driver licence because it was of poor quality. They allow upload of only a small pic. I can not help that because the driver licence would not scan any better at such small pic. So i snail mail a better quality driver license but nope it was not good enough. I had proof of address on the utility bill. And on the driver license which you can clearly see it. Its been 2 months and my account is still in verification process.

So, I wrote them back and gave them my mind. And they took the documents and open my account. They suck. Paypal freezing accounts, limiting access to funds. They always freeze my account. I am fed up with them both!
