Confused! My Whole domain has vanished in Google

    Ok its never happened to me before so i am gobsmacked
    i bought an aged domain from this forum (10 years old)
    I started developing it into an Adult Toy Shop (its an adult domain)
    i used webmaster tools and all appears well
    however, even when i put the actual domain or site:actualdomain
    into google its completely vanished!!!!

    any ideas????

    if it does not show up using the site: command then you are probably de-indexed. I have seen a few instances where this happened and came back a few days later as it was likely a slight algorithm change.

    yeah thats what i thought
    its been about a week now

    ive submitted a sitemap to webmaster tools and it shows all OK
    so im scratching my head on this one

    The domain you bought was related to adult toys? if not, there is a chance that this is "dropped domain" case.

    Search for "dropped domain" in Google

    yeah i always pay my hosting and the site is live
    i searched google forums and i think the site has been deindexed (or at least all old files have) and i should get reindexed soon enough
    i'll give it a few weeks otherwise post in googles forums
    no rush :rolleyes:
