I've decided to sell a great football(soccer)/sport related site, great domain and ranks pretty well in the search engines.

With the sale you will get two domains

www.behindthegoals.com

www.whatsyourview.net

Whatsyourview.net is the older of the 2 domains and is almost two years old. With so many of our members interested in sports we decided to re-brand slightly under behindthegoals.com around 2 months ago. BehindTheGoals has site-links within google and brings decent traffic during the week and weekend mainly from UK users but has much more potential if a little bit more time was given to it. I just don't have the time hence the reason for selling.

The site has over 11,000+ members with a good proportion of users active within the forums throughout the week but mainly in evenings and weekends. It has a unique skin made by myself as well as several unique skins that are disabled at the moment purely because the header in the other skins has the old domain. A quick change by the new owner will be needed and you'll have several unique skins for your new community.

The site has earned some revenue using just adsense, here is a screen-shot of Octobers earnings http://i48.tinypic.com/2dkxv7s.jpg . Adsense is just shown to guests on the site and only on a few pages. It could be maximized to bring in much more plus I had considered using betting sites affiliates to bring in money but didn't get round to it.

So there are plenty of chances for the site to earn, you just have to convert the sales.

The search engine positions are pretty good as you can see by this screen shot the domain has site-links within google:

it ranks very well for new terms you optimise and someone with a bit more time on their hands could turn this already well build community into a gold mine.

I will not let 18-24 months of hard work go for cheap. Im happy for it to sit on my server until i have time for it however i would also like to see it go to good hands who can work on it.

This really is a great opportunity to own a well established site with potential to be huge.

The vbulletin licence can not be transferred as it has expired.

The successful bidder will be emailed the files and database and transferred the domains. One domain (whatsyourview.net) is with Godaddy and has 6 months left on it. It will be transferred. Behindthegoals.com has 10 months left and its with Instant-Deploy. I'll just give you the log in details for this domain and you can transfer it if you wish.

How many active admins? Are they likely to stay after you sell?

 

there is 4 active admins including me. 2 are 100% staying, the other one is very likely to stay on. I won't be staying on.

no i'm looking $1000 for it mate. Its has so much potential to earn $$$ per month and i'd be making that if I had the time. I was making that from adsense last season but I've life issues that means I can't give it anytime anymore. The 3 admins are there 16 hours of the day to help out with moderating and being active within the forum as well as help out with external promotion while you could spend your time making the money....Its a great community and worth more. Its up to you mate but well worth $1000.
