planets far from us, made up of sand, rocks and gases, are affecting or lives, as you all are aware what does moon affect sea water tides during full moon nights.

Moon got some gravity and the different planets got different properties.

We astrologers can just guide on what to do for your help. We can never guarantee.

We are not God, but we try to help you as doctors help sick people, and we help diagnosing your charts.

 Are you suggesting that gravity is the "force" behind astrology?
If so, do you take into account mosquitos in your readings?

Because a mosquito sitting on your arm exerts a greater gravitational pull than the moon does on you (George Abell, 1979)...

It may make you a living, but it doesn't stop astrology from being wholly unsubstantiated.

Gravitation explains the tidal forces of the ocean...

That's because the earth is within the moon's gravitational field.

I would be more inclined to take that perspective into consideration if you approached astrology as a viable "science" and based it on facts(such as "properties" of planets, their distance from earth, etc) as opposed to long held conceptions accepted as truth which lack empirical evidence.

As I've said in another thread I find astrology intriguing but I don't believe in it.

hmm doctors help sick people, or rather treat people by means of science , the medicines are an output of science, are available for various testing & analysis
I think the comparision with astology is foolish to put it mildly dear.

You don't accept that a mosquito sitting on your arm exerts a greater gravitational pull on you than the moon? What are your reasons for not accepting this, apart from a general lack of understanding of science?

I think viewing astrology as fun may be harmless, but viewing it seriously with calculated measure can also be beneficial.

Well I just mean similarly like gravity pull. which we can feel, but certain forces are there, we dont feel like gravity but we do feel in other ways. Like smell we cant touch or see, but we feel Similaly Astrology is also a science and a calculation about planets positions influence on us. Even Palmistry is not as gravity, but we all have different palm signs. We might have same birth details for over 100k people on this earh, but all have different palm readings, place of birth and other readings. Astrology can only be correct if we have time to make calculations, but mostly no one has time to give.

Here, I do believe that people have free time to utilise their free time to debate uselessly, but nothing creative.

Well, I invite you all to give me a chance on my site for a small reading.

For fast or no time people, people can ask my live experts under experts section.

    Like what?

But you don't have all the facts do you? How can you call it a "science" when you don't.

Do you have the numbers? I tried to calculate it (using F=G (m1*m2)/r^2), but I can't seem to get that result. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I do find it counterintuitive due to the tide phenomenon already mentioned.

    Consider everything, believe nothing.

I recently used astrology software to draw up my natal chart, and found that the chart described my personality almost to a tee. I also made a composite chart for me and my significant other, and again, the chart described our relationship's strengths and weaknesses with uncanny accuracy.

While it is easy to dismiss astrology as nonsense, I personally think that it would have completely disappeared into the mists of time if there was really nothing to it. But at the same time, I also do not believe that our fates are predetermined by the stars. I'd rather subscribe to the notion that the stars are a reflection of the choices we make in life. :)

I wouldn't fully discredit astrology, but I am a skeptic of pseudoscience in general.
