Those bigger sites will only accept articles that are on topic of what they cover - webpronews - about internet marketing and seo, only. So if your article or field or niche is specialized in taht area then it pays to write different longer versions and submit to those sites also. But without a possibility of getting accepted into those sites its a waste of time to write longer versions when you could spend the time writing more short articles for article directories.
Could somebody hand Ryan a glass of milk and a cookie??? I partially agree, David. I too can write informative, short articles, but the bottom line is that most prefer longer ones, ones with more substance. ... That's all I am saying. Hell, and not to be contradictive here, sometimes short articles are all that is needed. Like I said, all one has to do is ask his or her readers, or ask around.
No, you're not missing anything. Those sites cater to a narrowly defined niche. There's nothing wrong with that. You just have to find an authority site that caters to your particular niche. David Jackson
Whose bottom line, yours? What evidence do you have that definitively says people prefer reading long articles, as opposed to short ones? I'd like to see the proof. If anything, with society's short attention span, I'd bet anything that people prefer reading short articles. David Jackson
*chuckles at Ryan* Ok, son, if you say so. David, please pay attention, Read the posts thoroughly. Or I'll start making fun of your tie again. ~ It is the readers out there saying that. Overtime I have asked I don't know how many. Most want longer articles that are out there. Some said short, but, again, that is some. And many of those would read an article twice as long anyway, which, in turn, will increase sales and or repeat readers. Not looooong articles but at least longer than the ones they are reading. Shit, I read one that took me only about a minute. lol What the hell. And, again, yes, sometimes short articles are all that is needed. I agree on that one. You'd like to see the proof? Ugh, Aaaaaaaask them. I said that what, 3 times now? You believe what you want, it's ok, but I would rather listen to the folks out there. I go with the majority.
That's what I thought. You have no proof. Just shut up!!! You're just running your damn mouth! All you know how to do is run your mouth and insult people. It's easy to do that hiding behind a computer screen. Damn coward!!! David Jackson
lol this fucking idiot can't even read. I guess it is okay to stop being civil, and having a civilized debate. I guess it is fun time now... Get some therapy, dumbass. You are seriously fucked in the head. Also, learn how to read. But I'll give you some credit, you type pretty well with your head, along with that pretty tie of yours, up your ass. Somebody get the popcorn!
Where is the popcorn, kid? You didn't get any?! Put your milk and cookie down, wipe your chin, and go get it. Hurry up!
At least I didn't forget the popcorn, little noobie with the dead site. Want some, kid, or are you full after all those cookies and milk? Edited for my little boy to see with wonder. ;-) *roughs his hair up*
Dead site? If you're talking about the sites in the sig field, yes they are pretty dead at the mo, but they're new blogs that are only several months old. I have a dozen sites and they have been around for years and are doing very well. Not that I should have to explain myself to you, but hey ho! What are your site(s) then? I get the impression you spend most of your time on here insulting people. Most of the successful people that I know carry themselves well on forums, social networks etc. Makes good business sense, but you just seem bitter and arsey with everyone for some reason. Something doesn't quite add up!
Nah, just havin' fun, little one. But, calm down, don't blame me for your dead site. Hey, if you knew what you were doing... *pats Ryan on the head* Hey, look, I edited for you again, Richie! David, where are you? Did you break your keyboard from that last red-faced outburst of yours?
