Hey, My YouTube video has gone viral. It's being posted everywhere. Yahoo, ESPN, NFL etc. If you haven't seen it just search Bud Adams flipping bird on google. Every video out there is from my YouTube channel. Now, how can I capitalize on all the views I'm getting and going to get the next 48 hours?? It doesn't really related to my website other than the video was shot with iPhone. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Add a link to your site in description. Add a link to your site in video itself (not sure if YouTube allows to change video once it's uploaded).
Yeah, I've done that. I should have disabled embedding at the beginning but I didn't know cause I'm an idiot. Any other suggestions people? My guess is the traffic will die by tomorrow night, but I have no idea.
Of course. A ton. It's over 26,000 views on YouTube in less than 24 hours and that number is going way up. I just checked and I got 861 pageviews today which is typically a good full day's worth. Question is how can I get more or make it last as long as possible. Anybody seen the video pass it along
Well done on that, sounds like you've done all the hard work! A decent freebie pay-per-lead program would probably work best for you. Not exactly sure which ones are good over Stateside as am from UK, but dig around and when you find one just send the network a covering email about your videos and they might switch you on asap?! Good luck.
Good for you. I just had a similar thing happen with a phone. Couldnt capitalize on it fast enough. Monday after is usually huge when something go's viral because people talk about it at work after the weekend. You could catch Asia till Tuesday night. As far as Youtube. Monitor the video and respond to the comments fast and try to incorperate links. Redirect them through a site url to Amazon for team gear? Hope that helps!
I'm sorry. I'm too new to this. YouTube sent me a email last night to advertise through them and Adsense and that started running This afternoon. So far its made like $5 from 12,000 views. Now if I had that from the beginning. Anyway, could you explain further about redirecting through url to Amazon. I mean I know what that is, but don't I need to setup some account with Amazon just like you have to setup Adsense and YouTube (through Adsense) to get paid. Also freebie pay for lead program. What is that? I'm sure I'll never hit a vid like this again, but knowledge is a good thing and I'm thinking of writing an article about the experience!
Freebie pay-per-lead programs work well as they usually offer some kind of incentive to the user. The cashback sites for examples usually offer a free £5.00 balance to the member that you sign up and you will be paid a pound or so for the lead. Similar freebie stuff could be for free ringtones, sim cards and even free holidays. You can find all these on CPA networks and select affiliate networks like Affiliate Future here in the UK. It may be a little harder for you with your video gathering a global audience, as the programs usually look for very targeted traffic. If you can't be bothered with all that then Clickbank is always a very simple and hassle-free place to start. Just find a decent ebook to pitch and you will get a nice chunky 75% commission. I'm sure from all that traffic you should be able to pick up a few sales to aid your Adsense revenue. A good Clickbank product is the free satellite TV on your PC - bit old, but still works well.
