$30 Custom Logo Contest - Simple Designs

This contest is for a unique logo for one of my clients. The logo is for a product/service my client offers to the gun industry. The product is a satin black super thin, and super hard coating that is applied to the firearm to prevent rust, wear and scratches.

The coating was developed by the IonBond company, The coating is called DiamondBLACK and it is provided by Springer Precision.

So the logo needs to include the words:

IonBond (need to use or recreate provided IonBond Logo)
DiamondBLACK
By Springer Precision

Source file:
http://digitalpoint.net/SpringerPrecisionLogoIB800.tif

Do no use the source file for anything other than to get the IonBond Logo. I need a completely new logo design.

This logo will be used for embroidery and screen printing on clothing, print materials, websites, ect. Therefore the logo must be professional and simple, nothing 3d or anything that the embroidery machines can't handle.

The logo should be in Vector Format preferably and at a very high DPI - 600+

We are open to colors and ideas for the logo, but it should convey the idea of diamond hardness/toughness. Once some designs start coming in, I will give you all feedback to help narrow it down to what we like.

This contest will run for at least 5 days. The winner will be paid the $30 fee via PayPal.

I am the contest holder...not sure why that is a question. Also sorry about the file not working, I've reuploaded it here:
http://digitallowdown.net/splogo.tif

For Some Reason I cannot edit my initial post. I goofed on the source file URL and put Digitalpoint.net, when I meant to use my domain which is http://digitallowdown.net. if you swap my URL with the digitalpont url in the first post the file will download. or you can click on the bolded link above

To All Designers: some of you are having trouble understanding what we are looking for with a logo, so I have worked up a very rough sample for you to look at. This is just an example and do not be bound by the way this logo is set up, but these are the elements that must be included:

Overkill - thanks for your entry, however please note that this logo will be used for screen printing and embroidery on clothing, so the background needs to be white/transparent. Also the IonBond logo shound be one word, and can you lose the red drop shadow...at least on these designs, it doesn't fit.

To see what the corporate IonBond Logo looks like, go to http://ionbond.com

Overkill - I would like to see what they look like with transparent/white backgrounds, its hard to imagine how the will print if you cant see it the way it is supposed to print. Also I don't really care for your second designs, there is to much going on.

Overkill: I like the first transparent logo, but can you make it work without having the black background...maybe change the letters to black with a white background and an outlined diamond...

Jtoms - I like where you are going with you design. However the product name is "DiamondBLACK" with diamond first and BLACK all in caps. It is one word. So if you could fix the logo to reflect that I will show it to the client to get some feedback.

biruhato - Very tasteful first two designs, I like them both. They look easy to embroider which is a big plus for this client. Your 3rd entry is nice, but may be a bit to involved for embroidery. I will still show it to the client though.

OVerKill- thanks for implementing my suggestion. I really like your first design, but not crazy about the second one.
