Has any one ever witness a site disappearance from google?

I had a site and I was building backlins. Initially, as a new site (2 months ago), it wasn't ranked. Then last month, it was ranking.

Today, it is missing from google. I just added the site into webmaster tools. I don't see any backlinks to my site. Usually, webmaster tools shows the backlinks.

So I would like to know if I should continue building backlinks or move on with other sites.

Sometimes a new site could disappear for one or two days. Give it a 2-3 days before you panic.

I believe your site has experience Google's changes when it comes to indexing and counting backlinks. Are your backlinks relevant and are closely related to your site? Google tends to erase backlinks that they see are not that related to the sites that they link to, thus decreasing your inbound links and rankings as well.

Or maybe it's just in the deeper pages, ranked in further pages still due to the same reason. Just try to check if it's still indexed (type site:yoursite.com on google search bar) and or try this link and just replace "example.com" at the end of the url, with your domain name.

    The link: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=example.com
