    1. do follow = default
    2. no follow is done by inserting into link code the

    rel="nofollow"

    I never check as this may change any time on a given BL site
    I prefer to focus on creating more content
    hence if ever - then I check manually

    follow / no follow is about PR-"juice" being lost or NOT
    from my limited experience a link any type always seem to have same value in regart to G finding a page or NOT
    the quality of a linking site is more important than PR forwarded or NOT

    If you are using Firefox, just right click the link and go to "Properties". If No-follow
    Relation = No-follow

    I have been using the Firefox NoDoFollow plugin for a few weeks now and it is very helpful. There are several sites out there that have lists of dofollow blog sites and some even sort them by page rank. Even if you use a site that claims to be dofollow always check it first with the plugin. I've learned the hardway a few times and wasted some time.

    a word of caution

    it appears some of you younger guys spend lots of time and efforts about such things like follow or nofollow links ... etc

    I never paid any attention to what type of BL i get
    yet I get month after month more traffic and many more links - so far a few ten thousand organic BL

    the real key ot $ if that is important to you - is traffic
    and the ONE and only key to organic human traffic is TONS of top quality unique self created content presented in a proper and professional SEO way - on-page SEO ! and then promoted by efficient methods of RSS etc

    these are REAL efforts and real work - however bring you much more than hundreds of hours spent on follow or nofollow link topics!

    on such secondary topics you easily can get carried away, waste dozens or hundreds of hours a year - forgetting to create and publish and produce actual content ....

    The easiest way for me is to use the Firefox plugin Firebug and just right click on the link and select "inspect element". This allows you to look at the code and if there is a rel=nofollow or not. You can also do this with Chrome without a plugin.

    As far as worring about the nofollow or dofollow. I think it is valid. I personally am looking for the most bang for my buck (in this case my time). Sure I don't highly relevant "nofollow" links that send traffic, but those have got to be high value for more than just their link juice.

    I use the addon for Firefox, all dofollow links will be highlighted in blue while the nofollow in red.
