    This is a trick where you modify the link syntax to target keywords and tail end keywords.

    example

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com?=cool-little-tip

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com?=target-keyword

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com?=long-tail-end-keyword

    And you would put out the links like this with anchor text

    Cool Little Tip

    Target Keyword

    Long Tail End Keyword

    I think you can see the power of this neat little trick... In regards to building backlinks and targeting specific searches in the search engines.
