well, it started good for my site, but then, like speedmonkey said, they were used as intermediary of malware sites, my sites got marked by google and firefox as attack sites, I lost my traffic because google and firefox blocked my visitors and my alexa rank went down from 71,000 to 164,000 now. I attached the warning google gave when visitors enter my site below: notice that adonion.com is there as intermediary for distributing malwares

I just received an email from AdOnion inviting me to join as a publisher. I'm glad I did a search on Google and found this thread first. I was just about to sign up and give them a try for my site

Thanks everyone for offering your info and helping me avoid a mistake.

    Dude that sucks. :(

It seems publishers are getting screwed more and more as time goes on and in the meantime these ad companies are raking in the dough.

Lately I've been having issues with Adsense. I check my server logs and see all kinds of outbound clicks to Google Adsense links, yet in my Adsense account, they are not accounted for. I asked Google about it and they said it was because the user did not spend enough time on my site before clicking the ad.

What am I supposed to do? Put up a notice on my site that says, please do not click an ad unless you have been on the site for more than 30 seconds?

If someone sees an ad and is interested, they are going to click it. Who cares if they just came to my site and were only there a few seconds? Isn't the point of advertising to get targetted users to visit your site?

Google is charging the advertiser for the clicks and I'm not recieving any money, so Google is making money hand over fist.

    sigh*
finding money on the web isnt as easy as people think.
these companies have too much control.
there should be some kind of legislation for this, but too bad the internet is too big for these laws

so once again, dont even join adonion, too much hassle and not worth the time. u thinkyou earn $100? nope, all gone to them cos they can. and they will. dont believe? go waste ur time and support a scam site.

Clicksor sucks too. I used them recently and they serve malware in their pop-unders and don't pay worth crap. I ended up dropping them and going back to Adsense. At least with Adsense, I didn't need to worry about getting my sites marked as unsafe due to serving ads with malware.

If Google could get their heads out of their butts and give proper credit when ads are clicked, they would be the best for publishers. They always pay on time and usually pay well for the clicks you receive (when they actually count them )

It seems if you truely want to make money with advertising space on your website, you need to find your own advertisers and cut out the middle man. Not that easy to do though.

One of my client used to run Clicksor ads and then malicious ads happened so he removed it. Then got tricked and signed up for Ad Onion as they seemed like a another network with attractive pricing, until he later found out they are part of clicksor.

Beware but try at your own risk!
