First of all your site is not a directory so why are you looking for a directory sponsor? And not to be rude, but I do not really see anything of value on your site that would want someone to sponsor it.

You can't force people to advertise on your site. Maybe if you had more content and a little bit of page rank then you might get more responses, but that is just a guess. First page ranking means nothing if you are not getting traffic from it.

PR is a little hard to come by these days, but if you work on getting links from relevant sites in your niche then you should be fine. My advice is to work on your own form of adverting, in other words you need to start advertising on other sites in your niche are least close to your niche. Doing so will help you get more traffic to your site and that is what people are looking for when it comes to forking out money for advertising on your website.

Submit your site to other web directories and social bookmarking sites, then you can probably think about getting advertisers for it at a later date.

Your website is a blog, not a directory.

Its important to understand what type of site you actually have.

One of my sites gained PR3 in 6 internal pages in the recent update. Some other pages gained PR1 from 0...The homepage PR3 remained unchanged...All I did is add new and unique content to the site. Only 2 links are outbound from the entire site! Aside from that, I didn't do no advertising whatsoever: no directory submissions, no 'link purchase', nothing...It seems that PR boils down to the content at the end of the day.

Can you be a little more specific as to what you mean by "sits on the first page on google"? Sits there for what exactly? A specific keyword, what?

Knowing more information about that would likely help others formulate a strategy based on your demographic.

You are looking for advertisers. If your site get more traffic then you can use google adsense than advertisers.

Ask yourself if you would pay for such advertising. What advertisers want - sell their products or gain more customers. Are you offering that? If yes, prove it. Show them that you are getting traffic targeting their area. Do it for free (1-3 months) and show it works. If they making money from your advertising services, they will come to you.

you are too new, so stop asking questions and start reading the forums. there's plenty of information lying around, read it first, it will help.

your customers and sponsors will find you in time, just make a good directory. :)
