whats diffrent paid or free directory

anybody can tell me whats diffrent paid or free directory sub. is it right google give priority of paid directory.

 

There are a few paid directories that Google is rumored to count links from: Best of the Web (BOTW), Yahoo!, and Business.com.

 

Paid directories are usually better than free ones. Most free ones require you to post a link back to them. Too many links on your site is not good since you submit your site to multiple directories. If you want to pay for a directory, do little research on it first and it IPs.

paid directories is always more better than free directories. Often free directories requires reciprocal link with us and taking many days in approval and they do not place your link on high page rank and give very deep linking so google takes many time to crawl it. Even paid listing is useful we just pay some amount of money to webmaster and get the back link from high page rank website.

 

You know, I opened this thread thinking it was a joke.. "Whats the different between a paid directory and a free directory..... punch line here"! The difference is a paid directory requires you to pay a fee to submit your website, while a free directory doesn't. ALL directories will most likely give you a backlink, however the value of the backlink will be little to none; some directories like DMOZ, BOTW & Yahoo! do give some nice weight, however aren't cheap to get added in.

Paid directories are having some qualities and they are more famous in terms of SEO and that's why they are paid

free will become paid when they get some high page rank.

Yes google likes certain directories, so of course they know this and charge...business is business
