    like, changing the welcome page to not show visits and instead show page views?

    I think using Custom Report, you can build prepare dashboard as per your needs.

    yeah pretty much what "dipali" put the custom dashboard layout can be changed to show what ever information is important to you. when using Anayltics look for the "add to dash board buttons" Simply click them and that metric will be added to your "dashboard"
