    just bookmark it and ping it . that's it . all you really need is a backlink from a quality site. with high PR . if you can do that then your site would be indexed very quickly.

    I always submit my new blog posts to Digg first because I know within 10 minutes that submission will be on Google's front page for my title keywords, so that just brings my blog higher up in the SERPS.

    Not a definite rule. Sometimes the new page gets indexed in couple of hours and sometimes it takes more than 3 days.

    it is possible to get google index fast but i dont think it happen in minutes! its possible in 1 or 2 days after you submit to search engine but before you submit you require few back links from high page rank websites then only google bots index you in 1 or 2 days otherwise you need to wait few weeks
