Hi All I have two domains, one is www.abc.com, for my head office and other is www.abc.com.ca for my regional/ branch office in Canada. Does google cosider them 1 domain or two separate domains? and if I put similar content (business info and services) on both domains, then goole can black list my site? Plz suggest me some solution, what i can do?
Hi, unless until you are using subdomain, google will consider it 2 domain only but if you have the same site content, you can use 301 redirect from one domain to other. Hope it helped. ---Sar
Google will see them as separate domains but no, you won't get blacklisted if the content is similar. Identical content may incur a bit of a duplicate content penalty but it's nothing worth worrying about.
Yes, Considered 2 Domain Name, but if you can use 301 permanent redirect then There is use of same content property in both the domain name.
If both domains have completely different content you should be fine. I would stay away from any and all duplicate content though. Don't redirect if the .ca website is getting natural visitors and is being promoted, just make sure it is branded as the .ca equivalent to the other .com site. If you aren't using the .ca for anything besides a placeholder for your domain name, by all means redirect to your main site & include a Canada section there.
they are two different domain names. you will not get blacklisted or deindexed. if that was the case then half the sites on the web down be down by now.
Hello, Its better to use different content though you are not getting blacklisted. And yes Google treat them as two different sites.
