    Nice tip.

I always pause my campaign and wait for approval. They will approve it while it's in pause so no worries there. Then when it's accepted you just change the links and unpause the campaign. That way you don't have to keep an eye on it and worry about losing any money.

Of course it is. You may have to save the banner as an image and just hyperlink the image with your affiliate link.
So far, there are no restrictions to what kind of links you can use on your page, if you know how to build it.

Yes you can direct link to your affiliates offer with Facebook ads. Don't know if it's allowed by their TOS, but ads will be approve anyway.

It's allowed by their TOS. You just have to follow which offers you can/can not promote. ie: no diets, rebills, etc. Pin-submit stuff need special landing pages. Dating sites you must put the URL in the ad, etc.... Read the TOS and you'll be fine.

Facebook's TOS have now changed, they are becoming very strict on affiliate links:

    # Landing pages/destination URLs

    1. Adverts that contain a URL or domain in the body must link to that same URL or domain.
    2. Adverts must send users to the same landing page when the advert is clicked.

Also, banner linking is no longer possible.

Looks like they are going the same way as Google (AdWords = NO AFFILIATES)! Therefore, there is probably no point in trying any direct linking affiliation with Facebook.. Sad!
