    I am a Mac user. But I have tried Windows 7 RC on VirtualBox and it seems good. It's better than XP and much better than Vista.

    Although see to it that you have 1GB RAM, I would recommend 2GB though.

    I have since 2 months windows 7 pro (genuine edition taken from msdn ), and i have tried it on my 4gb laptop and it runs like a charm, it has more compatibility than vista for old software but somehow its not so good for gaming as i expected.

    I have been using it from past few weeks and to me its been great OS , boots fasts , consumes less battery , faster than vista ,cool interface :D

    so you think it would run decent on a computer that is about 2 years old ... currently have XP and skipped the vista but am tempted to try out 7

    windows7 needs lot of resources when compared to xp, so if your system is older than 2 years dont go for it, but just try it yourself and analyze...
