Do any of you know how I can get free or inexpensive info on SEO? Also, How can I best utilize SEO in the lease expensive and time saving manner? All For affiliate marketing and direct sales over the net. This may be "the 64,000dollar question", but I would like to know.

The most efficient SEO method would be to fully optimize a website using on-page and off-page techniques. If you've just started using these techniques, make sure that you don't just optimize for search engines. Do it for your visitors too.

 

Do proper off-page activities like directory submission, social bookmarking, article submission, forum posting and blog commenting.

You can get free inexpensive info on SEO in webmaster related forums like this one, but you will have to search for the information, read and apply - nobody will do that for you.

Why? Search engines will display popular websites first, over not so popular websites. What makes a popular website popular according to Google/Yahoo/Microsoft? How many people link to it from other websites (aka. Backlinks).
