    Too simplistic. The layout is too dull. Nothing really catchy. I would suggest a total redesign of the site to make it more appealing.
    As mob4u1 said, there is too much white open spaces. You got some work to do!

    I think colour combination is ok. It looks good. There is some free space at the right side of the page. Here you may put ads

    Too much white space, looks like a cheap facebook knock-off.

    Some of the stuff are just badly arranged, for example
    "Recent Site Wide Posts"

    you put it as

    You have gone on the overall holistic approach of simplicity at its best which i belive is not valid if you have a concept of social networking up your mind.
    So you really need to improve on it.

    Not bad. I actually don't mind the colors, etc. (I don't know if you've changed it since the first comments in this post.)

    I would of course add a nice logo for your name to replace "Social Network".

    I would also include some descriptive text to expalin and describe your site.

    Finally, I would think about what kinds of keywords you will want to optimize for - Social Network doesn't get many searches in the engines.

    I just finished my 7th chat, dating and social networking site. I called this one http://www.chatfest.net

    You will notice that I decided to optimize my site for "Free Online Chat Rooms" and not "Social Network(ing)".

    Terms like Chat, Free Chat, Online Chat, Chat Rooms, Free Chat Rooms, etc. amount to a lot of searches every month. This is why I will market my site as a free chat site with social networking features added on.

    I guess I might be shooting myself in the foot right now for saying all this, but the reality is choosing the right keywords is only the first 1% of SEO. The rest comes from months and months of deligent link building.

    Recently i noticed some organic traffic. The site is optimized and google indexed 114 pages without any effort.

    Could do with a bit more colour. A bit hard to understand what it was about as well. Definately has potential though to look very nice.
