Thats just temporary credit . Maybe i am wrong but they pull that credit if you lose the case against you.
If these guys have proof against you please watch your back.

I know i am happy with lacehost but as a webdesigner and so that everyone on the community knows.
If the servers are in USA and a lawsuit gets filed then you are asking for trouble.

I provided plenty of docs to visa for them to side with me. I had my first e merchant account in 1997. I know how these things work.

Servers based in USA from which spamming has occured are under American jurisdiction.
So if they have proof against you like server access logs , files etc then that could cause a problem.

FYI: Dont post on a public forum that you have hired someone to vent for you. That can be taken as an offense for ruining a company's reputation . I forgot what the legal term for that is though. Just watch your back dude and stay out of trouble...I'm off to the beach...Bye bye everyone

Its called liable, and that only covers if info posted is false.

mailing is not illegal. From what was posted, the template follows can spam laws. Nothing illegal. Maybe they should have posted a better fake template that could be illegal.

I am not too sure about can spam laws and the template has nothing to do with being prosecuted. You are liable to be prosecuted as a spammer if (and only if) the lists that you sent out the mails to were collected without the email owners explicit consent...

Here is some more information.

okfling says that he has a visa card. In support ticket he says he has a paypal credit card. If you see https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/general/PPPlusCC-outside , PayPal does not issue VISA cards, but MasterCard.

To get a Paypal card, you need a Verified PayPal account, which is not the case here.

If we do need to prove to the authorities, we can just contact WhoisGuard to show that the spammed domain is owned by okfling. It is already hosted on the same IP as his other domain.

All the posts about contacting banks & visa are far from the truth. He paid using an Unverified account, so it is a PayPal balance payment & a credit card is not even associated with the PayPal account.

I hope you are happy with getting back your $18 from your supposed bank due to a chargeback on a supposed credit card payment

Didn't make up any story. i went to chase this morning. I have multi paypal accounts. thought I used the account that has the paypal credit card tied to it.

 

Doesn't matter. Location of the servers is what is taken into account. By your logic you could walk into a pub in the UK and light up because you;re an American citizen. (Since I know I have to speak in small words to you, smoking in UK puns is now banned.)

 

Wasted 3 hours in an obvious spammer thread. This is what i dont like about them.
