Google Penalty ! How to tackle ?

Hello to all the members of Webmaster world

http://www.tourismpoints.com/ is a business-profit site providing tours & travel related informations, would never do anything to harm anyone. the issue is regarding the serp (1 month back this site was in top 10 with india tourism keyword now it disappear from the serp). once the site was crawled when it was not working due to some technical reason, after that the index page disappeared from the serp. what could be the reason behind this, is it penalysed by google, this problem is only with the index page, all others inner
pages are appearing in serp.
Please, review http://www.tourismpoints.com/ and remove the penalties or
inappropriate malware.it deprives visitors who depend on the site of its benefits to them, it is really affecting my business a lot.

Please review this site and suggest me the best ideas to remove the penalties or malware! Thank you!!

 

i see 610 pages in Google. it is still indexed.

we cannot remove penalty, only google can. As for malware, we cannot either scan your files without access to your account.

 

u need to review your competitior site and strat from basics like onsite optimization, offsite optimization

 

Google might think the amount of links on your homepage is spammy!

file a Google Reconsideration Request in your google webmaster tools account... put as many details as possible in the description box... tell google exactly what happened and tell them that you love them a lot and that you wear your google t-shirt every day

no but seriously, try the reconsideration request man, it has worked for me, I got back my rankings 3 days after filing one... but you must make sure your site is clean before doing so

 

I have seen some SERPs shuffling these days - could be due to a new algorithm update...

 

Your site is not penalized. Index page is also indexing in Google and even it is crawled on 5th may 2009. There may be some other reason for decreasing serp ranking.

 

The SERP is just fluctuating for me too nowadays.
I guess no penalty is impossed on your site. Just keep building backlinks and give it some time.

 

Maybe Google update and change the interrelated arithmetic.
Google changes unceasingly!

 

I already did this but no reply from other side. should i re- request in webmaster tool account. plz suggest me, i am really very worried abt my site.

 

when did you file it? If it's not too long ago, then I suggest you wait... if it's been more than 3 months, maybe you can file another one, but make sure your site is clean and respects all google guidelines, no keyword stuffing or anything like that!

 

jokes apart, i'll definitely try this.

 

Too many links in a short amount of time is frowned upon by Google. Try to build links steadily.

Backup your whole site and remove whole content and change your hosting too.
Now ask ask for reconsideration. may be they will help in removing penalties. Mention few points like you were new owner of this domain purchased few days back from another fellow,i don't use any illegal content etc etc

One of my friend used this method to get back his banned adsense..

 

No I Don't think its because of google dance

 

Do you have that dreadful red box around your website name in the Webmaster tools saying that your site does not meet their webmater's guidelines? If you do, I don't think there is a quick way out of this.

But, if not, in other words, if it's only your rankings that dropped, they will come back up. Just keep on doing what you have so far and you'll be back. One of our sites came back from a hole like this in about two months.
