Many clicks from same IP-addresses

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Jontish, Oct 28, 2009.

Hey. I see people everyday that click 2-5 times on an ad from the same IP-addresses. I'm not a victim of click bombing, it's just stupid people who likes clicking on links or something. However, since this occurs on a everyday basis, I can't really send an email every day to Google about it. It wouldn't be a good solution.

So what do you think? What the fuck to do now, I'm trying to protect my dear Adsense Account.....

Any scripts that just let each IP address click the ads one time?

PS. The clicks are not coming from the same IP everyday. It's just randomly and therefore I can't ban anyone. So that is not the solution.

If you are not the person who generated those clicks, you should informed GG asap. Ignore this problemmay cause your account banned and now it is really difficult to get the new account. It's also goo to investigate where and how those clicks came from so you can prevent them in the future.

I see a common IP very often with many clicks originating from it.
When I do a reverse lookup it's nearly always a telco IP like Telefonica or something like that.

I think most cases like this are people on dial up and it's not click fraud at all.

it could be a number of private IP addresses behind just one public IP adress that you actually see. but again, how can you see the IP that clicked your adds?

Sometimes I get this but as it's not often I don't worry often it's say 2 impressions and 4 clicks giving a silly CTR but if it happened a lot say 1 impression and 20 clicks as happened the once I would write to Google (as I did straight away)
    Cheers

I think while reading one of Googles articles I saw somewhere that you can't block ip address since some people have the same ip address. Let me see if I can find it.

At least 50% of the people that responded to this thread didn't even read the my post fully.
"Tell to Google"? Yes, but don't you think it would be absurd mailing them every day, since that is the frequency of this.

How can I know which IPs clicked my ads? Simple. I use an Adsense tracking script called asRep.

This won't do any good since there are new people all the time that are clicking more than one time.

    Thanks though.
