SEO - Worth Paying?

    Hey,

Is it worth paying for professional SEO? Has anyone reaped the benefits of the cost?

If so where can I request it on this forum? In the Buy, Sell or Trade section?

    Regards,

Yes it is wiser to spend ad dollars on SEO/Organic traffic as opposed to PPC campaigns.

Hey mate. Don't think one day of SEO is enough. SEO should slowly be developed throughout your website. Also don't pay anyone to do it. No one knows your site more than yourself!

yeah- you're going to need to set aside a lot more then one day to learn seo. If you have a realistic budget for SEO ( $500 ) I'd hire a professional.

Im not sure what kind of business you have but you can hire someone to do local seo-- and those are a lot easier. If you have a website or business. Why do you have it? For yourself? No- it's worth every penny to hire a seo expert.

Remember it's not the quantity of links you have point to your site.. its the quality. Remember to target relevant keywords for your page content if you're going to attempt it on your own. Dont fall for any link farms..

SEO is only worth hiring out for if you have a significant budget, need products sold, and are producing tons of content. Otherwise learn the process and do it yourself. Then as you build up your income over time you can start outsourcing article writing, etc.

I have used a few SEO companies on my adventure travel sites. I found one team that really works for me and they are super affordable. I would rather pay for SEO than Adwords because I have found, in NZ anyway, that people trust organic results rather than the sponsored results at the side.

I meant one day to get my head around the methods, then giving more time to each. :)

My site is for both revenue and for myself, it is a sports forum specifically for Manchester United F.C. Fans. :)

Thanks, I will add that to my notepad of advice :)

Hehe a whole day? Even if this is just to get your head around the methods, it isn't something you can pick up overnight.

Put aside a least a few hours a day for the next month and you might be getting somewhere - then its just keeping on top of it after that.

Hire an SEO professional and you can expect to pay $1000+ as as starting point, but as long as they can show you a sting of successes, you should be in good hands.

If you have the time and resources and the patience and the eagerness to learn, do SEO yourself, you will benefit too long term. But if you dont have the time and you got the money and you want results fairly quickly, pay for SEO experts.

Performing SEO on a website is a trial and error process. You should evaluate and carefully select the methods that you will use for your website and determine the time you need to accomplish the task. If you don't have enough time, then that's the time you can decide to outsource it.

it never ceases to amaze me the amount of bad advice given on here!

That isn't seo. That is just a poor way to get a little initial traffic! You need to think long term of what it will be delivering a few months down the road.

You can pay someone a lump of cash to do what you can do yourself easy enough.

There is no shortcut - it takes time and knowledge. Start with "SEO for Dummies" from Amazon or somewhere; that will teach you the overview. Then start your online research. It takes time.

As said, you know your market, your niche, no dude in India for $10 will do it better than you can.

A proper site with original content will be of more value to you than anything beyond the basics you can do with SEO. There are no magic pills.

Yeah SEO is a lot of trial and error with the aim to be able to get into the top 10 consistently. Unfortunately the trial and error takes weeks and months.

    Yes, if:
You have product that generate massive returns.
    If time is your limitation
You don't have the knowledge and the right expertise
You have the money to invest
