Site name and url: My new site is called "Sybian Hire UK" (www.sybian-hire.co.uk) Look: I want a simple, professional header for my site that should include the words "Sybian Hire" in plain text (nothing fancy). The header should be eye catching, appeal to women and make the site look a bit more sophisticated than it is at the moment. The header should not contain any photography - I am after something abstract. My only initial idea is swirls something like on this page but without the flowers. Prize: $40 via Paypal Time: Contest runs until Saturday, October, 31st. However, I may cut the contest short if I receive an entry I like Thanks and good luck, Brew
No specific size - just make it fit at the top of the site. Use colours that are already on the site - plus any that you think would compliment them. Brew
Hi, I wasn't sure how simple you want it and by "plain text" I assumed you want a web standard font. So this is my entry so far, I'll make any changes you'd like. The background swirls in my entry can be set to tile if you want them to fill the width of the users screen.
Here some feedback. you_love_me44 - your entry does not give out enough sophistication cshwebdev - your entries remind me of the red light district in Amsterdam which is definately not what I am looking for. I am looking for something a bit more subtle. Colleen - I like your entry. The fact that you can make the swirls tile is very useful, and would make it easy to implement on the site which is appriciated. ])CoDeN([ - I am look for something a bit more professional. adwaitk007 - This design has promise, but I think it needs more work Silph - I quite like your submission, although I feel it looks a bit to gothic. witcher - your design is great - I like it alot. technoguy - I am look for something a bit more professional. At the moment the design looks like a collection of clipart thrown together. sikka2010 - Your design is ok, but I think I am after something a bit more subtle. The oval with the text is a bit too much. bellichi - I am looking for something a bit more professional. The style of font makes it look amatuerish, and the colour (which does not match the rest of the site) makes it look a bit out of place. ravenx25 - I am looking for something a bit more professional. If you want to be in for a chance at winning you need to read my first post in this thread and take in to account that I want something that looks sophisticated with the words in a plain font. Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter. Brew
