The purpose of Reciprocal is to link back, and I don't recommend using free reciprocal because 95% of the viewers will abuse this and submit your homepage as the reciprocal, or just leave it blank and somehow bypass the validation script.

Turn your site into a free directory for one month and advertise it every 3 days in a week or two days in a week, say Tuesday and Saturday, leaving a good space in between so you're not spamming the forums, then when you get over 300+ links, turn it into a paid directory and people will buy from you seeing that people will submit to your directory and the advertisement is worth the money

Oh yeh, you need to at lest add a description tag on the home page it is kind of hard to add your site without a soild description.
